Why film schools teach screenwriters not to pass the Bechdel Test.
Pretty interesting stuff. I'm not sure I'm with her when she says that it's the Hollywood establishment, rather than mainstream America, that keeps three-dimensional women characters out of mass-media entertainment. Surely there's reciprocity going on between the two, with a lot of mutual reinforcement? Anyway, the post and the comments have some fascinating tidbits. :)
